| Throughout the thousands of generations of galactic history, the entire surface of Coruscant has been covered over by sprawling skyscrapers and cities. The planet's oceans have all been drained and kept in vast underground caverns for future reuse. The only body of water visible is the Western Sea, a body of water created artificially for tourists and natives alike. There are some portions of the city that are actually under the sea. The Western Sea has many artificially created islands floating on it, used by tourists on holidays. The only other piece of Coruscant's landmass that has been left untouched are the Manarai Mountains, twin peaks that stick up out of the ground near the famous Imperial Palace. Many floating restaurants revolve around the Mountains, giving patrons a unique view of the natural wonders.

| The planet was located less than one parsec from Tatooine. In many ways the planet was similar to Tatooine, in that it was a rocky, desert world. One notable difference was that the planet had large and dense rings in orbit.

| Utapau has large sinkholes covering much of the surface. Entire cities are built in cracks and crevasses in the sides of the massive sinkholes, which extend inwards in perpetual twilight. It is revealed that the main reason for this practice is the existence of water on the sinkhole floors.

| The planet is covered by hundreds of volcanic caldera, most of which are in a state of constant eruption. The volcanic activity is caused by gravitational stresses on the planet created by the two gas giants that affect its orbit. An automated energy and mineral collection facility on the planet is used by the Separatist Council as their last headquarters.

| Nal Hutta is the current Hutt central world. It is the capital of Hutt Space and is located in the Y'Toub System. Nal Hutta translates into "Glorious Jewel" in Huttese, but it was originally named Evocar. It was one planet colonized by the Hutts after they left their ancestral home Varl; they used their notorious business acumen to first trade technology with the primitive native Evocii for real estate; they made a number of air tight contracts, and eventually legally owned their planet; the Evocii appealed to the Jedi for aid, but the contracts were solid, and the best the Jedi could do was to evacuate the Evocii to Nar Shaddaa. Once a pleasant world, Nal Hutta and its moon, Nar Shaddaa, were transformed into gloomy and busy industrial trade centers dotted with Huttese palaces and private estates that lay in the heart of Hutt space. The planet is ruled by a council of the eldest members of the Clans of the Ancients, the oldest Hutt families; precedence on the council is determined by the Hutt clan's various prowess at business and wealth

| | More commonly known as the "Smuggler's Moon", Nar Shaddaa is similar to Coruscant in that its surface is entirely overgrown with city sprawl. Like Coruscant, the lower levels fell into disrepair and became havens for the lowest lifeforms the moon. Over time, Nar Shaddaa went from a prosperous metropolis to a criminal haven, where anything illegal elsewhere was performed freely.

| Korriban is the sole planet in the Horuset system and is located across the galaxy from Koros Major. It was used as a graveyard for Ancient Sith and was later reborn as a home and training ground for modern Sith. It was once a slave world of the Infinite Empire many millennia before the first Sith Lords came. Sith Lord Naga Sadow built his tomb millennia later around the Star Map, a relic of the time when the Rakata had used the Star Forge.

| Rhen Var has a frozen surface, somewhat more mountainous than that of Hoth, but is still covered with snow and ice. Rhen Var was once a fertile paradise filled with vegetation and wild life. Millions of years ago, an atmospheric cataclysm turned it into an icy hibernate surface. Ancient Jedi monuments are buried beneath the surface of Rhen Var.

| Ryloth is the home planet of the race of the Twi'leks. Ryloth is a tidally locked planet, which means one side of the planet is constantly facing the sun. This side is called the Brightlands, and the other side is called the Nightlands. This results in the temperature on the day side being burning desert, and the night side the temperature is freezing cold. There is a habitable, twilight band around the planet where the day and night sides of the planet meet (just like Aurelia). The Twi'lek people live in a series of urban cities that are located in the habitable band of the planet. It has four continents and two oceans. The continents are Haxiang, Dengdian, Lienru and Tienhu; the oceans are the North Ocean and the South Ocean.
